笔洗为承水洗笔之器皿，以形制巧俏、雅致而广受文人青睐。笔洗材质有瓷、玉、玛瑙、珐琅、象牙、犀角等，而这件永乐青花凤穿花瓷笔洗则比较稀有。此洗呈四方葵瓣形，每瓣以凹槽分隔，口沿内、外及器脚饰青花双弦线。瓶身绘凤穿花纹饰，此器造型别致，釉质莹润，青花色调浓艳，工艺技法娴熟。明显永乐风格，钴料采用进口苏麻离青为主。永、宣皆盛行青花，此青花凤穿花纹笔洗，乃永乐官窑传统纹饰青花器中之精品。

The pen wash is a vessel for washing the pen, which is favored by the literati because of its skillful and elegant shape. The pen wash materials are porcelain, jade, agate, enamel, ivory, rhinoceros, etc., and this piece of Yongle blue and white phoenix pendulum is more rare. The wash is in the shape of a square sunflower, each of which is separated by a groove, and the mouth is decorated with blue and white double strings along the inner and outer sides. The bottle is painted with phoenix-like patterns, and the shape of the device is unique, the enamel is radiant, the blue-and-white color is rich, and the craftsmanship is skillful. Apparently Yongle style, cobalt material is mainly imported from Su Ma. Yong and Xuan are prevailing in blue and white. This blue-and-white phoenix wears a pattern pen wash, which is the finest in the traditional blue and white ware of Yongleguan kiln.
