Jade-green Chrysanthemum Ru Kiln Dish
This kiln has a pattern of a chrysanthemum flower, a round base, and a beautiful and elegant form. Under the kiln lies 5 small nail marks that looks similar to that of sesame seeds, hence their nickname of "Sesame Flower Pins". The bowl body has a pure green glaze to it, with a clear light ice texture to it. The color of the glaze is jade-like and beautiful, eminatting a quiet and soft feeling, showing off the special charm of the piece. Due to the short time in the kiln burning process , its craftmanship requirements are very high, therefore it saw limited production. Even back in the Southern Song dynasty, it was rare to find, hence not more than a hundred pieces lasted to this day, it is incredibly rare and worthy of an collection.
